Assignment : Create three discrete volumes
I created a fountain with the systems of aquatic life in mind. The smallest volume represents organisms. The tank is viable for the holding of small freshwater shrimp which feed off of algae and other contaminants. The larger water volume is viable for the holding of aquatic plants such as narcissus which are known to filler out pollutants for the organisms. The lamp volume represents the sun which allows for the photosynthesis of the plants.
Materials : Hand Blown Glass, Hydrocal, Concrete, Brass, Copper, Plexiglass, water, wood, magnets, epoxy.
